¡¡The cooperation and exchange activities of the college
have been developing together with the pace of the opening and reform
and the improving of the education functions. Although the department
has no long history, it has established a solid foundation for the
foreign related affairs of the college, based on the principles
of pioneering, innovation and stable and timely development.
¡¡On the aspect of foreign exchange, the college has linked with
many higher education institutions in various countries such as
America, Canada, the U.K., Switzerland, Korea, Japan and New Zealand.
Cooperative agreements have been made with New England University
(America), Robert Gordon University (the U.K.), Hallym University,
Seokang College (Korea), Lincoln University (New Zealand), Oslo
University College, etc. Based on these agreements, many students
have already begun their further study in RGU and Lincoln University.
In addition, several teachers or staff members are sent overseas
for academic exchange each year. At the same time of the implementation
of the ¡°step out abroad¡± strategy, the college has positively carried
out ¡°intellectual introduction¡± program, in which many famous foreign
experts from worldwide have been invited to lecture or teach here.
¡¡As for the structure of the department, it consists of the Overseas
Students¡¯ Centre and the Hong Kong, Macao & Taiwan Affairs Office,
which are responsible for the recruitment, teaching issues, administration
and service to foreign students and those from Hong Kong, Macao
and Taiwan. Since their establishment in 1995, they have accepted
about 2000 students from over ten countries like America, France,
the U.K., Germany, Japan, Korea, Indonesia and so on.
¡¡International Department mirrors all the achievements and merits
in the field of the college¡¯s foreign exchange. Based on the motto
of ¡°Humanity and Service¡±, we will serve the college and the overseas
students enthusiastically and thus devote to the cultivation of
the talents with international ideology and perspective.
